4th/5th Grade Track Meet

South Eugene High School Track

Monday May 19th

• Parent Volunteers Needed! Arrive 15 minutes prior to meet start time and check in with teachers at the finish line.
• This is an Everyone Participates Event! (and we mean everyone!)
• There are no elimination events
• Each student will earn a 1st – 6th place ribbon at each field event or running heat.
• All of the elementary schools that advance into Spencer Butte and Roosevelt will participate.
• Students are encouraged to participate in three events and one relay.
• Students may earn a maximum of four ribbons.
• Boys and Girl's Track Events are separate and the relays are held at different times.
• Girls and Boy's Field Events are held at separate venues.

   4th Grade

• Leave school and arrive by 9:15 AM
• The Fourth Grade Track meet begins about 9:15
• This meet will end at 11:00
• Sudents will be back in time to eat lunch at school

   5th Grade

• Leave school and arrive before 12:00 PM
• The Fifth Grade Track meet begins at about 12:00 PM
• This meet will end at 1:50
• Sudents will be able to eat lunch at school before leaving.
  Track Events 6 Parents/Adults required to hand out ribbons at the finish line

• 800 Meter (Note: First track event)
• 50 Meter Run
• 400 Meter Relay (4 people)
• 200 Meter Run

 

• Field Events: 8 Parent/Adults Required (Two volunteers for each field event)
• Shot Put
• Softball Throw
• High Jump
• Long Jump
