The CARE
TEAM
The
Eugene School District 4J CARE TEAM was created to provide consultation,
support and resources to respond to a crisis related to an incident
of grief/loss, and to assist in carrying on the operation of the
school or department until the administrators, staff, students,
and parents can regroup following the incident.
Missions:
The CARE TEAM
includes employees of Eugene School District 4J as well as a select
group of trained students and comunity people w ho are committed
to being resourceful in accomplishing our three missions:
- We provide
consultation as well as direct technical and support services
to principals, their staff people, and students whenever they
are somehow impacted by grief caused by the loss of loved ones.
- We recomment
age-appropriate reading, instructional materials, strategies
and techniques to teachers and other concerned adults to help
people to understand and work their ways through a grieving
process.
- We provide
inservice opportunities for staff people, selected students
and community members to train them in the skillful use of age-appropriate
reading, instructional materials, strategies and techniques
to help people to understand and work their ways through a grieving
process.

and direct technical and support services because you, your students
and/or staff are being impacted by grief caused by the loss of
