The purpose of the 4J Elementary report card is to communicate each student's progress to parents. Teachers create the card in the eSIS Teacher Assistant and send a printed first term card home in late January or early February. A cumulative term-1/term-2 card is sent home at the end of the school year in June. Most schools send the report cards in an envelope which may contain supporting materials (inserts from specialists, Special Education, Title I; announcements of school or classroom events; etc.) The report card is meant to be kept by parents - though often schools ask that the envelope be signed and returned after term 1.
