The District provides auto coverage for all employees, approved volunteers
and agents (all referred to as "the driver.") over 21 years
of age while driving:
District-owned vehicles.
Personal vehicles on district business. Coverage is only for liability
above the individual's personal coverage.
In District-owned vehicles, coverages include:
Liability for property damage or bodily injury to a third party,
as a result of an accident caused by the negligence of the driver.
In personal vehicles, coverages include:
Liability for property damage or bodily injury to a third party,
as a result of an accident caused by the negligence of the driver. Coverage
is only for damages above the limits of the driver's personal policy.
Coverage above the limits of the driver's personal policy if the
driver is involved in an accident with an uninsured vehicle.
To qualify for the District's auto liability insurance,
the individual employee or volunteer must:
Be over 21 years of age.
Be approved by the school principal.
Carry state-mandated personal auto insurance with at least $25,000/$50,000
public liability coverage and $10,000 property damage coverage.
Use a booster
seat for all children who are under the age of six or who weigh
less than 60 pounds.
Coverage is automatic for any approved drivers on District business if
they meet all conditions above.
