4J Library Services Cataloging
Since the 1996-97 school year, Baker and Taylor has provided cataloging and processing of books purchased for our school libraries. Books arrive at the schools shelf-ready. Baker and Taylor sends the catalog records electronically to Library Services, where the records are checked for accuracy and then imported directly into the school library database.
Baker and Taylor provides on-line ordering tools to assist in preparing book orders.
Baker and Taylor cataloging looks a little different from Library Services cataloging. The Baker & Taylor Information page details those differences.
Gift materials and materials purchased through other sources are sent to Library Services for cataloging and processing. Rush processing is available upon request. We have used OCLC cataloging services since 1984.
