Note taking is the process of recording the information you discover during researching. If you decide what is relevant and important at this point and record your understanding of the information in your own words, it will help ensure that you will not plagiarize your final product.

You may encounter things you don't understand in your reserach. Find something or somebody who can make them clear before you use it in your final product. If you don't understand it, you shouldn't use it.
