Blue Web'n is a searchable database of over 1000 outstanding Internet learning sites categorized by subject area, audience, andtype (lessons, activities, projects, resources, references, & tools). Blue Web'n does not attempt to catalog all educational sites, but only the most useful sites -- especially online activities targeted at learners.

GEM (Gateway to Education Materials) is a consortium effort to provide educators with quick and easy access to the substantial, but uncataloged, collections of educational materials found on various federal, state, university, non-profit, and commercial Internet sites.

Evaluating Web Sites: for Teachers, for Students is an example of a WebQuest project. Evaluating Web Sites provides guidance and practice for evaluating web sites.

IPL Pathfinders are guides written by IPL staff which are intended to help you get started doing research on a particular topic, both online and at your local library.

Marco Polo provides no-cost, standards-based Internet content for the K-12 teacher and classroom, developed by the nation's content experts. Online resources include panel-reviewed links to top sites in many disciplines, professionally developed lesson plans, classroom activities, materials to help with daily classroom planning, and powerful search engines.

Marco Polo Oregon is a site to help teachers design instructin that engages all students in meaningful learning based on standards and using multiple resources.

New York Times Learning Network accesses daily lesson plans for grades 6-12, written in partnership with The Bank Street College of Education in New York City. Each lesson plan and the article it references can be printed out for classroom use. Previous lessons are available in the archive and in thematic lesson plan units. Teachers can also use News Snapshot, aimed for grades 3-5, to explore current events through New York Times photos and related questions. The site additionally provides teachers with the latest education news from the newspaper.

SCORE (School of California Online Resources for Education) is a treasure of quality Internet resources and teacher developed lesson plans in language arts, social studies, science and math.

American Memory Collection at the Library of Congress are multimedia collections of digitized documents, photographs, recorded sound, moving pictures, and text from the Library's Americana collections. There are currently more than 80 collections in the American Memory Historical Collections. Look on the Learning Page for instructional units developed by librarian and teacher teams.

AskEric is a personalized Internet-based service providing education information to teachers, librarians,counselors, administrators, parents, and others throughout the United States and the world.
