Better Telnet (for Macintosh OS 9 and below) is in the public domain which means that it can be copied, used, and given away without having to pay the developer. Contact your building computer rep.
Software from many publishers requires a fee whenever the program is loaded onto a computer. The Organization for Educational Technology and Curriculum (OETC) has the lowest price for much of this software. Follow these ordering instructions when ordering from OETC.
AppleWorks 6, FileMaker Pro and Microsoft Office licensing fees should be sent to OETC.

Building / Site Licenses
Questions about building licenses should be directed to the building's computer rep or the person designated in the building to maintain site licenses. Many companies license their software for building use. Companies differ in how they define a license, so agreements need to be carefully read.
Keyboarding Software:
All the Right Type is licensed to most 4J elementary schools. The program can be run from a server or installed on individual machines. Licenses are platform specific which means that two licenses are required in schools that use both Macs and PCs for keyboarding instruction.
Type to Learn is licensed at Charlemagne Fox Hollow.
Educational Fontworks allows a school to load its D'Nealian font on an unlimited number of machines when the school purchases a site license.
Read Naturally is licensed at Corridor, Edison, Gilham, and River Road. Download the software from the Software Downloads page.
Kid Pix and/or Kid Pix Studio are licensed in every elementary building and/or program. Kid Pix is licensed for 30 copies in each elementary school. Each elementary alternative program has 15 CDs of Kid Pix Studio which means that it can be used on 15 computers in the program.
Individual buildings have licenses for programs such as HyperCard and At Ease. Check with your building's computer rep.
