Eugene 4J schools, communities, parents, and peers support school based alcohol, tobacco, other drug and violence prevention programs through coordinated programs that yield academic success for all school aged youth and establish a strong foundation for healthy and drug free lifestyles.


Guiding Objectives:

  • Build linkages between schools and communities to coordinate resources, services, and policies that create safe, supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Promote effective and sustainable partnerships among education, health, social services and other organizations.
  • Coordinate with others within the district and community to provide comprehensive prevention services.
  • Monitor progress through ongoing assessment and evaluation.
  • Base planning on principles of effectiveness.
