Cal Young prepares students for the 21st century by teaching them the skills and knowledge described in the Oregon Common Curriculum Goals and Content Standards. We offer a balanced instructional program in the traditional curriculum areas of reading, writing, speaking, math, science, foreign language, physical education, social sciences, and the arts. We also include cultural, career and life role education. Our staff has a commitment to develop each student's unique potential. We provide opportunities for students to produce original projects, to perform, and to create in several different contexts including Project Reach, Tale of Two Rivers, Futuremakers, Project Synthesis, the Medieval Faire, and music concerts. Enrichment classes at Cal Young include band, choir, Japanese, Spanish, fine arts, and drama.
