Use of Tobacco | |
Oregon law prohibits minors from possessing tobacco products and schools from permitting any person under 18 years of age to possess tobacco products while present on school grounds, or in school buildings, or while attending any school-sponsored activity. Student smoking, chewing, and/or other use of tobacco products on school district grounds, in school district buildings, or at school district sponsored activities is prohibited. No student under 18 years of age shall possess tobacco products of any kind while on school district grounds, in school district buildings, or while attending school district sponsored activities. This policy will be implemented by reasonable efforts to monitor use and possession of tobacco products, including, but not limited to, action to cause violators to cease and desist when a violation occurs within the plain view of a school employee. | |
