A
sign at the entry of the Help Center welcomes students and
reminds them to sign in so program effectivenss can be tracked.
|

Use
of the Center is voluntary, and can be accessed on a drop-in
basis as well as on a planned tutoring schedule. Here a student
is doing internet research for a paper for his Health class.
|

Students
serving as tutors receive community service credit, and are
paired with students requesting help. Here a tutor works with
a student on Algebra and Geometry.
|

A
staff member assists in arranging Help Center tutoring services
to help a student catch up with his class work after his being
absent due to an illness.
|

A
U of O Practicuum student takes on the paper work, tracking
student progress. When a mid-term report shows failing grades
for any CHS student, a letter is sent home to both student
and parents.
|

Attendance
in prior tutoring sessions is checked to determine whether
the letter sent simply reminds students of Help Center services,
inviting them to return, or informs them of Help Center services
available upon request.
