Congratulations to the Meyer Teacher Initiative Grants winners for 2006-2007: Renée Stacey's team at North Eugene High, Marilyn Williams' team at Kennedy Middle, Cindy Hinton's team at Holt Elementary, Debbie McLeod's team at Crest Drive Elementary, and David Adee's team at Harris Elementary--for grants totalling more than $25,000 to implement exciting and worthwhile projects for kids.

Congratulations are also due to Tom Henry and Merri Steele who received $19,998 from the Oregon Department of Education to support the "New Teacher Mentoring Program";

Congratulations to Tim Rochholz and John Wayland at Kelly who received $5,000 from the Metlife BridgeBuilder Program to fund the "Kelly Summer Camp" transition activity.

The district also had four winners of grants from the Chintimini Fund: "5th Grade Outdoor School" at Crest Drive for $2,000, "Keyboard/Claymation Lab" at Eastside for $4,643, "Multi-media Publishing Club" at Edison for $3,000 and "Let's Make it Safe" at Yujin Gakuen for $4,780, all enrichment/TAG projects for students.
