Best Practices in Literacy is based on current research. Literacy Teams from each school were given a copy of the puzzle format below to use as a planning guide for their school. As each practice was discussed, the team used colored highlighters on the relevant puzzle pieces to indicate which of the Best Practices are currently well implemented (green), which need additional work (yellow), and which have yet to be implemented (pink/red) in their school.
